1970-1980s Dinner Plates

These 4 gold rim dinner plates were part of Pan Am's first class service from the late 1970s to 1985. They have a diameter of 8 ¾ inches. Three were manufactured by Bauscher Weiden of Germany and one was manufactured by Noritake in the Philippines. There are no chips or cracks on any of the dishes. This set of 4 is reduced due to considerable discoloration of the gold paint. These plates make a great "starter" set while you look to find better quality pieces for your collection.

1960s President Service demitasse cup (wear on blue band)
This demitasse cup was part of Pan Am's 1960s "President" First Class china pattern. The cup was produced by Noritake in Japan. The cup stands 2 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches at the top. The cup is marked down due to slight wear on the blue band which can be seen in the photo above and to the right of the eagle. I have also enlarged the worn portion of the band and inserted it on the photo inside the cup. Please contact me at pa115@aol.com if you have any questions.

3 photos of same bowl
The silver bowl on the left was used as part of Pan Am's international First Class service. The bowl was used throughout the multiple course meal service. It would first appear on the cart used to set each customer's tray table holding flatware rolled up in linen napkins. The bowl would then appear with iced caviar and condiments on the appetizer cart. Next, the bowl would appear holding fruit during the fruit & cheese course and finally would appear on the dessert cart with either ice cream or mousse. The bowl stands 4 inches tall and has a diameter of 8 1/4 inches at the top. The bowl was manufactured by the Grand Silver Company as part of their "wearbrite" line.
This particular bowl has seen hard use. I have included multiple photos to show the wear.
In the bottom photo the wear is highlighted. At the top is wear around the inside rim. In the center blue highlight indicates silver wear away and red highlights dings and other discoloration At the bottom of the photo on the left is an insert of silver wear away on the bottom of the bowl and on the right of the photo is the Grand Silver Company logo as seen on the bottom of the bowl..
Due to the damage this bowl is marked down from $50 to $25. Please contact me with any questions on this item at pa115@aol.com
