Pan Am Menus
Below are two Pan Am menus from the Flying Boat ear.  These menus were often prepared just prior to flight and included the flight date, the aircraft registration number and the Captain's name.  Service on the flying boats was all First Class.

Pan Am had a very popular restaurant on the rooftop of its Dinner Key Flying Boat Base in Miami, Florida.  Below is a wine & beverage list dating from the late 1930s or early 1940s from the Dinner Key restaurant where customers paid a la carte.
A standard First Class menu from the 1950s aboard a Boeing 377 "Stratocruiser."  Pan Am had a long standing relationship with the famous Parisian restaurant "Maxim's."  For many years Maxim's chefs prepared all of Pan Am's Atlantic catering.  Meals were flash frozen and stored at many different locations.

During the 1950s on flights between the United States Mainland and Alaska Pan Am offered 'postcard' menus.  The back sides were standard postcards with address lines.  Pan Am crews would mail the postcards free of charge if turned in before landing.

In 1980 Pan Am introduced Business Class on International flights.  Pan Am called the product "Clipper Class.  Below is a Clipper Class menu, smaller than the First Class menus above and with less selection.

Another style of menus from the 1970s was the calligraphy motif.  These First Class menus, seen below, listed cities served on Pan Am's 'Round the World' Service.
